Thankful Challenge: Day 15

Today I'm thankful for two things:

1. I'm 20 weeks pregnant! Yay! I've made it to the halfway mark, and it's been the best pregnancy ever! No complications, no sickness. I can't complain!

2. The gift of massage! Yes, I'm thankful for the massage I'm getting tonight. My hubby got it for me as a mid-pregnancy happy!

Life is good.

Baby Ruth Bars

My mother-in-law makes the most delicious cornflake candy. Seriously, they're delicious. Everyone calls them Baby Ruth Bars, and other than banana pudding, they are my hubby's favorites! And, they are super easy to make! He made them for us yesterday, and I'm pretty sure our little man loves them as much as his daddy!

1 cup of peanut butter
1 cup  of white Karo syrup
1/2 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of white sugar
6 cups of Corn Flakes
2/3 cup of peanuts (optional)

In a large pot, heat peanut butter on medium. Add both sugars and syrup until it is smooth and melted together. Then take it off the stove and mix in the Corn Flakes and peanuts. Pour into a greased 9x13 container. Let set until hardened together. Cut and serve.

Thankful Challenge: Day 14

Happy Anniversary to my sweeeeeeeet husband! Today, I'm thankful for three wonderful years with my best friend! He's my rock, my love, my confidant. I can't imagine my life with anyone else, anywhere else. He's going to make the best daddy, and I couldn't be more proud to call him my husband. I love you, Jared!

Thankful Challenge: Day 13

Today I am thankful for lazy days and my puppy dog! We spent some time playing with Dolce today, and it's amazing how much he loves his mama! He and Jared were playing like only boys do, and every time Jared would run toward me, Dolce would jump in between us as if he was trying to keep Jared from knocking me over. I really think he knows there's a baby in my tummy. He's always been protective of me ... he NEVER jumps on me, he's always very gentle ... it's as if he knew he couldn't hurt my arm ... but now it seems like he's even  more protective. Which I think is wonderful. He wouldn't hurt a flea ... unless it acted like it was going to hurt me. I have no doubt he's going to be this way with our little man too. I can see our little boy pulling and tugging on his ears, and him just laying there looking at him like "I hope you're having fun!". Once we all got tuckered out, I sat down on the patio ... it wasn't long until Dolce was sitting in my lap. I can't tell you how much I love this little doggy!

Thankful Challenge: Day 12

Today I am thankful that Jared and I were able to spend the day shopping for our little boy, cleaning house to get ready for our little boy and then celebrate our little boy AND our anniversary over a fabulous dinner! Life is truly wonderful. God has blessed us beyond anything I can possible imagine!

Oh! And, I am thankful for all of you too! We have been overwhelmed by all the comments, texts and calls of congratulations! BOY oh BOY this is exciting!
